does not operate or own any satellites directly. However BT has access
to all the major satellite consortia including Intelsat, Inmarsat, Panamsat,
and Eutelsat.
We manage

BT
has two main Earth Station sites within the UK: -
There
is also an operations team based in Colombo
House which provides service management
and maintenance to several important customers.

Each of the main and some of BT's
other Earth Stations are manned within an Operational Control Area (OCA)
24 hours/day and are surrounded by security fences, which is monitored
by camera 24 hours /day. All areas are controlled by passcard protected
locks this covers equipment and operational areas.
