BT Radio Structures Information and Documentation Rigging Lifting Equipment Services available from BT Lifting Equipment Centre at Enderby, Leicester The BT Lifting Equipment Centre is now offering its expert services to customers from other organisations.The Lifting Equipment Centre has been servicing, maintaining, testing and inspecting all the equipment used by BT's rigging teams throughout the UK for the last 25 years. The highly experienced personnel have all the skills and experience necessary to carry the statutory routines as well as repairing and servicing a wide range of equipment used for antenna rigging operations. Where necessary, they have been trained and licensed by the equipment manufacturers to do this work. The Centre is based in 2 industrial units close to the M6/M69 intersection. It is comprehensively equipped with a wide range of test rigs and workshop machinery. The equipment currently serviced for BT is listed below. The Lifting Equipment Centre may be able to offer its services for items that are not on this list, for other customers.
The Lifting Equipment Centre staff are also able to carry out thorough examinations and inspections of items of lifting equipment (such as ropes, slings, strops and shackles) used to assemble temporary lifting rigs, riggers emergency rescue equipment, and items of personal fall prevention/arrest equipment.
